Nancy is owner of Achieve More Physical Therapy, PLLC in Canandaigua, NY. Nancy specializes in treating adults interested in aging well. Much of her experience lies in orthopedic care, fall prevention, balance training, and strategic core strengthening. Nancy also uses manual techniques and modalities to help improve flexibility and reduce pain. Nancy is very familiar treating people with diagnoses involving the spine, orthopedic conditions and injuries, as well as post-surgical conditions including total joint replacements and arthroscopies of joints including the knee, ankle and shoulder.
"My passion is not so much what I do... though I certainly enjoy it. It is about for whom I do it," Nancy says. "My goal is to help adults make the coming years the best of their lives. You see, it's not about 'riding it out,' but about living and reaching higher for whatever you want." Nancy goes on to say, "My commitment is to use my skills, my experience and my time to help others take control of their health and live a more active life. It's about achieving more... never settling, never giving up."
New York State requires physical therapists to participate in 36 hours of continuing education in a three-year period. The National Strength and Conditioning Association require 60 hours of continuing education, also every three years. I take this seriously and I enjoy it. In my last three-year period, I completed over 66 hours of education and also earned my ACE Senior Fitness Specialist certification. I am very lucky to enjoy what I do.
Nancy Alexander, PT, CSCS, graduated cum laude from the University at Buffalo with her physical therapy degree. She also holds a BA degree in english/writing arts from SUNY College at Oswego. Nancy owns Pink Fly LLC, a third-party organization that holds various special events each year in the interest of donating all proceeds to charity. Currently all donations go directly to the Breast Health Navigation Program at the new Breast Imaging Center at UR Medicine's Thompson Health. Over the past 13 years, this organization has donated close to $100,000 for breast cancer efforts right here in the Canandaigua community.
